Close Families of Prisoners
I have a son who received a life without parole sentence in 2006. I am trying to find friendship with people who understand.
Treatments
- Patience Somewhat Helpful
- I am learning to take it slow and one day at a time. Thru much prayer
- Psychotherapy Somewhat Helpful
- I did go to counseling within the first year and it made a difference but was too costly and I just could not continue.
- Talking Working / Worked
- Using support groups such as this one you find someone who has been in similiar situations and they are very understanding.
- Writing Working / Worked
- I have been keeping a journal since soon after the arrest. I also use the PrisonTalk online.
Open Heart Failure
In 2003 I was diagnozed with cardiomyopathy after I was sent PCP for a stress test. I did the aggressive med for almost 2 years, no real change, I now have a pacemaker/defib, doing much better, my ejection is almost normal.
Treatments
- Carvedilol Working / Worked
- this is my current med. I take 6.25 twice a day.
- Coreg Working / Worked
- changed about 6 months ago to generic to save money.
- Lasix Working / Worked
- I am taking furosemide, seems to be doing what it should.
Open Ankylosing Spondylitis
All three of my siblings have AS and encourage me to be tested. I am not really having symtoms but they think it is still important to know before I do have them.
