Hugs to you, Fran. Are you in Melbourne, Florida? I was on a lot of different medications for years, and I believe now that they aggravated the situation even more over the years, because it came to a point when medications were no longer working like they used to, antibiotics or pain killers. You need to also look into natural remedies for the long haul. Antibiotics are absolutely necessary in times of emergency, but anyone reading all the side effects of them will know they are dangerous long term. There is a support group in Port St. Lucie, FL that meets. It is the best I've found ever. I am 52 years old, and I wish I had known years ago, as my pain had gotten so bad, i wished I could die. Close Interstitial Cystitis (IC)
Was diagnosed with IC 6 months ago after having first cystoscopy 6 years ago! Have had every test you can think of and am booked in to have DSMO in two weeks. Pain is a problem all the time and I have just had to grin and bear it as I work full time and although I work with a wonderful caring group of people they can't e expected to really understand what the pain is like and how it stops you from just being youself and living your life. However, I have just started Lyrica and it seems to help.

- Ive had no pain since starting it. No feelings of wanting to urinate and had 3 cups of tea decaf last night and didnt go to the toilet for about 3 hours!! Im usually on the loo straight after a drink and going every ten minutes.
