I am 68 years old and have 6 grandchildren, ages 26,21,19,17,17 and 15. I once loved yard work but am not able to do it any more. Miss it terribly. I do read as much as my menieres will allow. My oldest son, his wife and his 21 year old son live with me. Lol, I need somone to help me out of the floor when I have a vertigo attack. I am so glad to have found a support group and have decided to offer support and accept support after all these years with menieres.

Close Meniere's Disease
I have had menieres along with tinnitus for about 17 years. I have run the gauntlet of meds and doctors and have found no real help yet. I actually quit going to the doctor for this about 5 years ago because I was finding no relief. I am amazed at the things I have learned to live with. I am constantly dizzy and have drop attacks about once a month. I have a terrible brain fog always. My short term memory is gone. I live a very slow calm life, hanging onto walls and furniture.
Treatments
- Antivert Not Working
- The side affects were so bad I only took it a few weeks.
- Lipo-Flavanoid Not Working
- Didn't work for me and left a very strong vitamin taste that lasted for hours.
- Low Salt Diet Somewhat Helpful
- I find it hard to enjoy a meal fixed with low salt. I try but don't have much success.
- Valium Working / Worked
- Valium helps with the dizziness better than anything else I have tried. So I guess some of the dizziness is stress related. A head full of black fog and 20 different noises can cause terrible stress.
