I am a survivor of an operation for Aortic Dissection. I was told that I had only a 5% chance of surviving. A miracle I am here but I find myself in a depression and I don't know why. By the way it is a type error on my name, it is Christine. I try to type as fast as my brain thinks.

I am a 40 yr old female who has undergone surgery for an Aortic Dissection. I was told that I had only a 5% chance of survival. I am grateful I am still here being a single mum but I don't understand why my emotions are all over the place. I am here hoping to find others who have had similar experiences. I also have to deal with heart murmurs as well as being anemic. It is a lot to take in. And I have to say the name entry is misspelled. It is Christine B. Lol
I am a 40 yr old woman who recently underwent surgery for aotic dissection due to high blood pressure. I was told that it was so severe it was a wonder that I was alive and that I had a very slim chance of surving the surgery that I had to have to repair the valve. In fact it was estimated only a 5% chance survival rate. My blood pressure is now maintained due to medications but I also know that there are other factors that help keeping it low.
