"Its the climb!"
6:12pm, July 17, 2009

Its Sunday and the start of a new week.  I've been trying to pin point some of my weaknesses with this whole eating healthy attempt.   I realized that I usually start the day off really strong.  I tend to wake up and go to the gym then have a healthy breakfast and lunch.  By mid afternoon however I'm starving! The other problem is that my family eats really late.  When I was in college I used to eat at 5 so by then I'm ready for dinner.  By the time 7:30 rolls around I've already eaten a snack sized meal.  This week I'm going to really try to focus on eating well throughout the day.  I think I'm going to have to eat at 5 regardless of when my family eats.  I just have to or else I'm gonna be like that Taco bell commercial where people eat "fourth meal."  I also want to do a better job of writing down what I eat.

Heres what I've eaten so far...

Breakfast:

- fiber one bar 3

- cup of coffe with creamer 1

4

Lunch

- 2.5 ounces of chicken w/ 1 and a half cups of romaine lettuce -2.5

-lite honey mustard dressing-3.5

- 1/2 c of fruit- 1

- 3/4 c of yogurt-2

9

Total so far: 13/34

I don't see any snacks in your food journal. You should be eating something every 3-4 hours and eating things that are higher in proteins will definitely help. Eat a few almonds in the afternoon and have more fruit. I find that helps a lot. I lost 10lbs in one month by eating 5-6 meals a day ~300 cal each and exercising about every other day. I felt great with more energy too. Give it a try.
