I HAD ANOTHER PHONE CALL FROM CHILD MATENICE. MY SON HAS 2 BOYS. HE HAS BEEN IN PRISON NOW FOR 2 YEARS. THEY HAVE WROTE AND RANG ME BEFORE.WHEN HE LAST GOT UT HE GOT A JOB. WHICH MEANT HE HAD TO GIVE A TAX FILE NO.. HE WAS THEN MEANT TO PAY FOR HIS BOYS 137 DOLLARS A WEEK. THE JOB DIDNT LAST BUT THE PAYMENT NEVER CHANGED. IT SO STUPID. I TELL THEM HIS ADDRESS AND HOW HE ONLY 18 DOLLARS A WEEK. I TELL THEM TO CONTACT THE JAIL.I EVEN GIVE THEM THE PHONE NUMBER. THEY SAY FOR HIM TO PUT HIS TAX IN. I EXPLAIN HE CANT JUST DUCK OUT TO SEE A TAX PERSON.I EVEN TELL THEM THEY DONT GIVE THE INMATE KEYS TO COME AND GO AS THEY PLEASE.AS IF YOU CAN GET BLOOD OUT OF A STONE.THEY ASKED ME TO CONTACT HIM. I EVEN HAVE TO EXPLAIN I JUST CANT RING HIM.I FIND IT SO STUPID THAT THEY CANT UNDERSTAND HE IS IN JAIL.HIS BIL NOW IS 15 THOUSAND DOLLARS. IT BEATS ME HOW THEY EXPECT HIM TO PAY ANY OF THAT ON 18 DOLLARS A WEEK.IVE SPOKE TO MY SON ABOUT IT AND HE SAY WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO.SO I RING THEM AGAIN.GOVERMENT CRAP.ONLY HE CAN GET HIS TAX STUFF FROM HIS EMPLOYEES BECAUSE HE IS A ADULT.SOONER OR LATER THEY WILL WORK IT OUT. AT LEAST I HOPE THEY WILL WENDY

I can understand how this could 'do your head in'! But you're right, they'll figure it out sooner or later. Bureaucracy can only be SOOO stupid before they realise. Meanwhile you have to take care of yourself and not let this situation get to you. Good luck!

It must be very frustrating...dealing with bureaucracy of the government. I know I got bill from collection agency for my daughter's Public Defender. i wrote them and told them she was in prison and they did stop calling...but she will still have that bill hanging over her head. I have been trying to send a few dollars here and there. They don't have any problem cashing my check, but can't even send me a statement. Try not to let it get to you...you are right they cannot get blood out of a stone. Take care, love ya, sharon

yes we have had a few issues. Our son gave us Power of Attorney over his financial matters. When he went to prison he was paying $28.35 per month. Of course it went up recently and I have still been paying the same amount.
His daughter's mum and I have been ringing and emailing CSA. We have finally decided to put in a change of income and cease payment form. I think it worked for us as both sides are doing something about it. Of course it benefits his ex-partner as she will get more money in her pension.
YEs I have sworn and cursed CSA it probably isn't an easy job but for god sake don't they record phone calls.

Sounds a bit familier. I have one of my b/f collectors calling me...I fianlly just told them he was in prison and would be for 15-Life. They were like Oh OK....now they keep trying to call me AGAIN... what dont they ge about the whole situation??? I want so bad to just answer and tell them to stand in line... and good luck getting anything when he has no job. They are really going to be second in line anyway, maybe third, because any money he gets if they give his job back after all the cuts at the correctional facilty will go first to child support, then to back taxes, then to fines..... good luck to ya supid assses.....heres a thought...write it off cause he probably wont be released to come take care of it. It just makes my head spin that they can be so un informed! Dah, what doo they think is going to happen when some one is in prison. Do they think thy can make more licence plates to balance there assests vs liabilities? Just makes me laugh. I'm really glad we are not married at this point. Some of the gals on here think its such a good idea. Wish they would take a min to think that one out. A relationship does not have to be on paper to make it a commitment. Sorry for the typos, its 2 in Utah and I have insomnia. Been having panic attacks and can sleep, or for that matter spell!
