Close Bipolar Disorder
I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder type 2 at 17. I overdosed on pills a few times. I've been in and out of hospitals for the past 2 years. I used to cut and burn myself. I currently don't take medicine becuase I feel that I'm better without it. I don't like the side effects of all the medicine. I'm coping as well as I can with all the support of my family and friends. I'm just looking to find some people like me to relate to.
Treatments
- Abilify Not Working
- It was horrible. The only thing I can remember about that medicine is that it made me really restless and irritable. I also have severe muscle spasams.
- Depakote Somewhat Helpful
- It was ok. I had bad side effects. Weight gain and hair loss. I just wasn't me.
- Lithium Not Working
- I felt like I was swallowing arsenic. It made me thirsty and gain weight. I was a few french fries short of a happy meal on that. I was a zombie.
