When I was 31yo I began to feel a little sore in one knee and was diagnosed a year later with OA. Over the past 13 years I have had two ops to clean up the joints but a few years ago was told the only options left to me would be joint replacements. Being relatively young I will have to wait for those for a few years yet as you probably know the replcements are only expected to last 15 years and can only be done twice. I sure don't want to outlive my new knees! Lol!
Just discovered I am starting Menopause, not sure if I should laugh or cry! I have decided to laugh!! Much more fun!
My Mum was diagnosed nearly 2 years ago, she has had the Whipple Procedure and chemo about 18 months ago. A month ago she was diagnosed with another growth on what remains of her pancreas, it is inoperable, she is back on chemo and is having more problems. It is a sad time.
On April 23rd 2008, my Mum passed away after a 2 year battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Fortunatly, my Dad and I were able to bring her home. I nursed her for those 6 days, as her liver failed and Mum declined very quickly. She passed surrounded by her family, in the home she loved, in the bed she shared with my Dad for the past 53 years. She was 72 years young. I miss you Mum!
