    • Close Panic Attacks

Anxiety/Panic attack sufferer for the past 12 years. Use to self medicate with booze but gave that up 3 months ago. And have been looking for natrual remedies to help fight this off ever since.

      Treatments

      Patience Working / Worked
      Positive Thinking Working / Worked
    • Close Alcoholism

Male 29 year old. I quit drinking on December 14th 2008. Started drinking and using other drugs at age 12. By 17 I was a full fledged alcoholic. The past few years I was always on and off the wagon but now finally I am getting serious about sobriety and recovery.

      Treatments

      Cold Turkey Working / Worked
it's working for me, but it's probably not for everyone. I used no detox or any kind of inpatient/outpatient or support groups.
      Folic Acid Working / Worked
This and being on a good diet and vitamin program does seem to be making me less anxious. And thus less depressed as well.
      Sleep Working / Worked
A full nights rest will benefit anyone, also getting in naps when you can helps.
      Willpower Working / Worked
I got to the point I was so disgusted with drinking and fully understood the sick and tired of being sick and tired that I have so far been successful in quitting with only the most minor of cravings popping up.
      Reading Working / Worked
Ive read a book called 7 weeks to sobriety and another called under the influence and theyre both mandatory readings for any recovering alcoholic! Also do a web search and understand a thing called PAWS. Which stands for Post Acute Withdrawal Syndromes. Very important. Its probably the number 1 cause of people relapsing.
