I have had HS for about 12 years. I experienced about 6 years of misdiagnosis, where I was on oral antibiotics and roaccutane (accutane), which was tough. I then found some things that helped take my HS down to less than 5 or 6 outbreaks per year: Chinese herbs, BACTROBAN ointment, and staying well hydrated.

This helped a lot topical BACTROBAN ointment this works extremely well I dont know why its not used more by other sufferers the trick is to apply it the minute you feel an outbreak because as well as an antibiotic it has antiinflammatory properties. Then apply 4 times per day quite liberally.
