Im a pre liver transplant patient After being an addict for 23 years I finally got clean , only to find out i had end stage liver failure (Hep C ) I am now on the waiting list for a transplant. I have dream of becoming an addiction counseler, I realy want to give back what I recieved. I am in school and do work at a half way house. I have three years clean Feb 27. One day at a time.

Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionI have been suffering with depression all of my life. Treated it by self-medication for 25 years. Finaly got on the right meds and came down with end-stage liver failure and had to stop all meds.

- worked good but very temperary. Had short term menory problems.

I found out I had HCV 3 years ago and now have liver failure . I am on the transplant list (with 20000 other people) and for to get it before my liver gives up.

I was a heroin addict for 18 years and have been clean for 3 years.I found out two days after getting out of rehab that I am in end stage liver failure and need a transplant.

- I was in a 60 day program twice and I guess I was ready the secound time> Ive been clean since getting out with only one relaps
- Methadone Somewhat Helpful
- felt like trading one addiction for another. Helped short term to relieve withdraw from herion. I only use methadone for 5 days the last time. Very low dose 25mg then tapered off over the 5 days.helped to take the edge off.

I have end stage liver failure and hepc I cant work and have to live out in the desert with my brothers family
