I am 29, and I was diagnosed last year with signifigant diverticulitus for my age. I had a colonoscopy done, and the doctor removed a polyp, which thank goodness turned out to be benign. Now I get the joy of a colonoscopy every 3 years. I have had 4 attacks in less then a year, so they suggested surgery and if I do it when Im not having an attack that my recovery process will be better.I may as well just do it, since the possibility of me having more attacks is very likely. Im nervous.
