Close Crohn's Disease & Ulcerative Colitis
Husband has UC. Nothing has worked until Remicade & Imuran. Then he found out he had aggressive prostate cancer and can't take those drugs anymore. Looking for alternatives before deciding on surgery.
Treatments
- Asacol Not Working
- Azathioprine Working / Worked
- worked with Remicade
- Colazal Not Working
- he's still having 10-15 movements a day
- Flagyl Not Working
- made D worse
- Lialda Not Working
- Lomotil Working / Worked
- Helps him get out of the house if he takes more than one.
- Prednisone Not Working
- Hated it! Gained a lot of weight and lost muscle tone and strength. Also got terrible eczema.
- Probiotics Too Soon to Tell
- Taking PB8 for a couple of weeks. Too soon to tell I guess.
- Remicade Working / Worked
- Was a lifesaver until prostate cancer was discovered and had to stop infusions.
