    • About Me

I am a mother of the cutest 6 year old boy. He is my entire world. I was diagnosed with AML type M0 Aug. 15, 09. I have since then completed my chemo therapy, and now for the most part don't have doc apointments and transfusions weekly anymore. In other words I am in remission. I should be happy, but in my mind, I'm just waiting for for the relapse.

I love going to concerts... classic rock mostly. Watching football.. I'm a big Raider fan. Hanging out with my friends and family when I see them. I'm addicted to Sons of Anarchy, First 48, House and the Food Network. But most of all.. I love being with my son.

      Stage: M0

I was diagnosed with AML M0 Aug 15th, 2008. It started out Feb I started having what i thought was muscle spasms in my arms and shoulders. The pain got severe a few weeks before being diagnosed. Went the the hospital, and was given meds for muscle spasms. On Aug 10, I started having trouble breathing so they did an x-rays and it showed fluid in my lungs. The fluid was drained, and cancer cells were found. Then came the BMB, and my diagnosis.

      Treatments

      Chemotherapy Working / Worked
Then came my induction chemo treatment ( 24 hrs a day, for 7 days), did fine during, but right after, when my counts dropped, I got an infection that sent me to the ICU for 2 weeks on a breathing machine, I didn't want to know exactly what went on there, cause I don't remember, and I woke up after 2 weeks and did not look the same. All I know is that it was really bad, and they saved me. After that I had 4 consolodation chemo (3 hr every 24 hr for 3 dys) Did pretty well through those. It workd
      Cytarabine Working / Worked
Never really had a problem with Cytarabine. Never got nausea, made me a little tired, but that could have been laziness, but I seemed to gain weight on chemo and after for no reason
      Neupogen Working / Worked
Took this for 10 days after every treatment. Worked good, I knew once I was done with the shots each month, I could be back to normal for a little while
