Howdy...coming atcha from good ol' Kentucky, USA! Hope this finds you having a great day~ I have Diabetes, Asthma and Sleep Apnea. I also have an injured back. Any one out there have similar health issues? I am a married "Household Engineer"--house wife--lol. We have been married 6 years going on 7. We live in a small camper in my mother-in-law's back yard... We have one house dog and his name is Hobo. He is an Applehead Chihuahua. My hubby has 6 hunting dogs and a horse named Babe. (Black Tennessee Walker--Mare) We also have two chickens...(smile)

Close Sleep Apnea
i was having chest pains--went to ER at hospital,given nitro glyserin pills that my body responded to. The Dr. admitted me, ran alot of tests, then referred me to a Lung Specialist who was also a Sleep disorder Specialist. I was tested and found that I had sleep apnea that was causing a strain on my heart untreated. Now I have a Bipap and Oxygen together to get through my nights. NO more chest pains--yay!
Treatments
- CPAP Working / Worked
- The Bipap is hard to get used to--I have had it less than a week now. But it is extremely helpful, I feel like I can breathe better.
- Metoprolol Working / Worked
- Yes it slows my heart down..very difficult to get used tobut now I am
Close Diabetes Type 2
I have Diabetes/Type 2. I take insulin & pills. My Mom had it and her mom before her. I wish I could lose weight and maybe control my readings better.
Treatments
- Insulin (Regular and NPH) Working / Worked
- Insulin works! I just never know when my blood sugar is climbing until I get sick. I'm constantly checking it with the gluclose meter.
- Metformin Working / Worked
- I've heard rumors that glucophage will hurt your kidneys. I hope not.
