About Me
My passion is working with adolescent offenders & animals, both of which I have done for many years. I have a daughter and a granddaughter who are the most precious gifts! I have a tremendous network family, that without I would not be where I am today. They have TRULY loved me when I could not love myself and believed in me when no one else has!

Close Heroin Addiction & Recovery
My story. . . I am a recovering heroin addict. Through God, NA, and my church family I have finally begun to find some real peace within. There's still lots of work to be done, but at least today I am willing to take steps to get there. It has been a long road getting here, but every fall, every bruise, every tear, every heartache, and every ounce of dope are all part of who I am today; without which my story would not be what it is.
Treatments
- Narcotics Anonymous (NA) Working / Worked
- Still working it every day! Today it's not about the using, but about living life on its own terms . . .
- Residential Treatment Center Working / Worked
- Caring Services, Inc. in High Point, NC. One of the best programs available. For me, it was where the healing began. And when life through a curve ball that I was not expecting, I returned a second time, not to the program, but to the "family" that once again helped me pick myself up and start over. This program is here for us when we want to get clean, when we're working the program, and even later on when life just seems too much to bear. When you come here, you become part of a family. . .
