The one called Margaret, is a poem my ex wrote, but through my eyes.
My Angel
You taught me all you knew
And hoped that I had listened
Believe me when I need it
I hear your words of wisdom
You gave the world a blessing
Every time you smiled
The world gave me a blessing
Because I had you for awhile
Though there is sorrow in my heart
I’m at peace that now your free
To fly amongst the angels
Where you were destined to be
I know someday I will see you again
And we will laugh together and hug
Until then I know you will be there
Smiling down on me from above
I will always love you, That will never end
You will always be my Mother,
My Angel and My Very best friend

Margaret, The Angel
The day has come, and the movers are here
I turn around and realize that time is near,
To say goodbye, to smile with tears,
For a memory that was shared long ago
As I pack the last box
And genlty close the door to the car
I stare at the home that was once my mom’s
Then I remember something she said
For as a child I swear I felt spirits
I thought I saw ghosts
One time when I was really scared
My mother said, “don’t worry dear-
It is only the angels looking out from above”
Yes-that is one of many memories
Many moments that can never be replaced
Her calming voice and gentle spirit
Always soothed my soul
Now the new mom is here
With kids of her own, she smiles
Gives me a wave then moves her things in
But I have to let her know
“This was another mom’s home
A place where all were loved
No matter who, no matter what
She was there with a smile and a hug
“So if your children are ever scared
And they hear the faint sounds all around
They feel a touch soft as a dove
Hold them gently and tell them “don’t worry……….
It’s Margaret, The Angel –watching from above”.

How Lovely! I read a poem similar to this at my Mother's service. She was my angel, best friend, too.
