I could have written your post word for word. The dad part and everything. I am in major debt now, no one knows. I still have it hidden from my husband. I have stopped and gotten a credit counselor. We should be out of debt in 4 years. Do a self ban at the casino, then you really can't go without getting a ticket if caught. When I go with my dad now, once in a GREAT while, I bring maybe 20$ and NO other way to get cash. I shouldn't even do that though. If you need any support, let me know okay? Amy

Close Gambling Addiction & Recovery
I have had a recurring problem with compulsive gambling for several years. About 5 years ago I did self-exclusion from the casinos in my state and that seemed to be a great help. I felt free and was able to stay away from gambling for years. I even won a trip thru work about 2 years ago to Las Vegas and did gamble but did so very responsibly. However in the past 6 months my gambling has become more compulsive, I've started gambling frequently in a neighboring state. It's becoming a problem.
Treatments
- Distancing Somewhat Helpful
- Self-exclusion helped immensely and I am considering self-excluding myself from the casino's in a neighboring state.
