Im with you there, I have had the most scruciating headaches and everyone thinks Im a big baby. (including my husband who Ive tried for the past 12 yrs of marriage to get to understand) how bad they really can get! He is currently laid off and has been since Jan and Im trying to make up for his lost hours as unemployment cut us off too! Keep in touch!

Close Hydrocephalus
Born with hydro but not diagnosed until 12. I had a shunt put in then. Revision a year later. 16 years later 3rd revision. 13 years later 4th revision. 6 months late headaches started again. Still in pain. Wishing for answers.
Treatments
- Acetazolamide Somewhat Helpful
- Seemed to offer relief on some days.
- Shunts Working / Worked
- Have had 4 shunt revisions. All seemed to help but last one.
- Topamax Not Working
- Made me sick loss of appetite nose bleeds dizzier than usual
Close Urinary Incontinence
I have had prolapsed organs due to hydrocephalus. Have had surgery twice for this.
Treatments
- Surgery Working / Worked
- First I had a hysterectomy to take the prolapsed uterus out and put a bladder sling in. This either was done incorrectly or just plain didnt work. I ended up at another hospital with a specialist who built tissue up in my abdomen to raise my bladder.
