ok bout time i put a little more then one line. i am 34 going on 35 and i have been suffering with DDD and firbromyalgia for the last 10 years. after my first episode i went through all the usual stupidity and specialists and test and was eventually diagnosed 5 years later with fibromyalgia a condition i refused to accept. after the episosde started coming every 6 months after the end of the last one i went back insisting on more tests and eventually got diagnosed with DDD but was told by the fabulous doctor i now have that i probably also have the Fibromyalgia because not all my symptoms are consistant with DDD. i have a wonderful supportive partner and a house we are buying. i have been bedbound for about a year and have only recently seen some chance of going back to work but the future looks pretty bleak as the episodes are not only unexplainable but also for the most minor movement to become an episode. last time i ended up in hospital unable to get out of bed because i moved just wrong truying to get up and go to the bathroom. i have tried many jobs to accommodate this ridiculous situation and i am running out of options. my sympathy to all in different degrees of this horrible situation and i feel for you and send my best hopes and wishes.

Interests
i love reading and my DS which keeps me sane in waiting rooms. i recommend one to all with DDD or Fibromyalgia. i love music and apart from rap and the new type of rnb there is not much i won't listen to. i used to do art as sculpture but cannot manage that much for the sitting. i spend much time on the internet basicalluy fopr the company and to reach out to others.
i love reading and my DS which keeps me sane in waiting rooms. i recommend one to all with DDD or Fibromyalgia.

- Eating Healthier Foods Somewhat Helpful
- i unfortunately crave due to depression so this is helping and makes me feel better but very hard for me not to stray
- Eat Less Somewhat Helpful
- with cravings and a tendency to splurge i have trouble cutting my portions down but am getting better
Close Chronic Pain
i have DDD and Fibro myalgia. the DDD is worse in my lumbar region but also in thoracic and cervical mildly. i am 35 years old and have suffered from bad episodes with 6 months in between each for the last 10 years. recently have been bedridden for the last year after the most recent episode with no real positive outlook to go back to work.
Treatments
- Chiropractic Adjustment Not Working
- not allowed by doc orders back too fragile
- Heat Working / Worked
- one of the few things that keeps the area happy and stops major aching and stiffness
- Meditation Working / Worked
- absolutely necessary to force my body from the top of my spine to the bottom to relax the muscles or i don't sleep
- Morphine Not Working
- never again unless absolutely necessary i don't like being a zombie
- Naproxen Working / Worked
- helps to reduce the muscle spasms to some degree
- Physical Therapy Working / Worked
- only good if the area is not to bad with the spasming
- TENS Not Working
- did absolutely nothing for me
Open Degenerative Disc Disease
DDD with bad spasmodic episodes for the last 10 years am now 34 turning 35 in june. recently bedbound for about a year and trying desparately to get back to work but no real end in sight.
Open Fibromyalgia
diagnosed with Fibromyalgia before evidence of DDD but then docor confirmed fibro also in evidence as some of the symptoms not consistant with the DDD.
Treatments
- Acupuncture Not Working
- gave me a headache put me in bed for a week
- Aqua Therapy Working / Worked
- love this the only thing that helps both
- Heat Working / Worked
- i consider this and rest the only solutions for me
- Morphine Not Working
- omg no don't want to be a zombie again
- TENS Not Working
- dis absolutely nothing
