Aloha,
Ive never joined an online support group before. Thank you all for sharing your experiences, encouragement, hopes and dreams. Many of you are so couragous and strong, and I am truly inspired.
I first sought treatment for Endo about 20 years ago,but was misdiagnosed until 2007. I actually ended up doing my own medical research because I was so ill and nobody could figure out what was wrong with me. When I read about Endometriosis after months of research, I knew immediately that I had found my diagnosis. The small isalnd of Maui has very few gynocolgists and physicians in general so I found a gynocolocial surgeon in Honolulu on the island of Oahu ,and flew over there and had laproscopic surgery November 13, 2007 .I was painless for about 6 months. Unfortunately the pain returned and now it's worse than before. I experience severe pain on a daily basis, but my menstrual cycles take me down...hard. You know what I mean . It's brutal.
I'm having an unusually fierce menstrual cycle this month, and I have had to miss the last few days of work.FRUSTRATING!! I've never felt so exhasuted before in my entire life, my level of energy is so low. The pain, relentless.
I cannot use any kind of medication that contain hormones, they make me feel totally insane.I am currently taking high levels of hydrocodone, makes me drowsy, but helps tolerate the pain.
God Bless,
Lovebyrd
