You know You're on Vacation with Your Spouse When....
... You plan to go to the same place, and when you leave the house you you look at each other in disbelief.... He has an itty bitty duffle bag and you have 50 pounds of clothes in the biggest suitcase you own.
... As he backs out of the drivewa you begin singing "On the Road Again" and he asks you if you can't find something better to LISTEN TO in your CD case filled with Golden Oldies.
....You stop at the rest stop and he uses the facilities and is back in the car before you even get your feet out of the car and onto the ground.
...Within 5 minutes of your arrival at his mother's home, there is someone knocking on the door. You both try to talk louder so she can't hear it, because you both know who it is, and you hope that person goes away.
...While driving along I-70, you get a call on your cell phone from a sales person wanting to know if you like a special credit card offer. While you mess with your phone to find the phone number of the caller, he flips his phone open and notes that he is getting no signal. Your phone, on the other hand, shows a 1-800 number.
... You wake up, stretch and sit up in bed the first morning to find your dearly beloved has already showered, dressed and gone for a walk. He is ready to "go do something" and you are still trying to open your eyes and say something coherent.
...You spend most of your time visiting with your in-laws, and wondering what he is doing.
---When it is time for something fun that you both will enjoy (i.e. watching the fireworks), he is ready to go to the hotel room to go to bed.
