Cause of Recent Pain
So my mom called the doctor today to find out the results of the CT scan I got last week. It turns out, the pain I've been experiencing is …
I'm 17 years old and I'm currently attending a therapeutic boarding school in northwestern Montana. I've been working through a lot of my issues in therapy and I feel generally a lot happier now than I did before. Generally, I'm a pretty easygoing person and I really love making new friends and giving advice. Please message me because I'm new here and I don't quite know how everything works (and I don't have any friends... lol).

Running, biking, hiking, rafting, rock climbing, basically anything outdoors, as well as writing, reading (I'm kind of a nerd because I really like school), talking to people, laughing, acting (I'm really interested in theater and want to do it in college), animals, and people!

My scoliosis was first discovered when I was in fifth grade. The S-curve eventually measured over 25 degrees so my doctor put me in a Boston brace. After only 3 months, they discovered it wasn't working. By the time I went in for surgery, the measure of the curves were 72 and 78 degrees. I was operated on by Dr. Howard King at St. Luke's hospital in Boise, Idaho and stayed there for five days. My surgery was very successful and reduced the curve measurements to about 12 and 14 degrees.
Basically I started getting depressed freshmen year of high school. I started cutting and I had an eating disorder for about a year before I attempted suicide three times and entered the hospital twice (inpatient psychiatric unit). After this I went to an RTC (Residential Treatment Center) in Utah and I was there for ten months. I am now at a therapeutic boarding school and looking at going home in June for good. I feel much happier and better about myself.
When I was a freshmen in high school I began to get very depressed. Eventually I started to starve myself in an effort to inflict pain and punishment on my body. I lost over 20 pounds (I was not overweight to begin with) and I went into the hospital (I was admitted for other reasons) so I was closely monitored and weighed every day. The hospital didn't help and it took for me to enter an RTC to finally beat the anorexia.
