About Me
I was diagnosed with PKD when I was 18 years old. I have been in and out of the hospital due to infections. Almost everybody on my father's side of the family is diagnosed with PKD and some have and were under dialysis. I have lost loved ones to the disease. Although time and again I am reminded that I would also one day need dialysis or transplant, and I thought physically I can prepare for it somehow, but the emotional pain that someone with the disease goes thru is a different story... I joined this group because I know it would be nice to know/talk to people who is undergoing the same things as I am... I am fearful of what I am going to go thru although I do pray a lot for strength... I hope to have friends here as well...
