Close Cervical Cancer
Im a survivor,my first check up is in April(kinda scared about it). If you have any questions I will answer them honestly. I wish someone would have answered the questions I had honestly :)
Treatments
- Cisplatin Working / Worked
- It definately worked! Im not going to lie the last few were horrible. The first few doses I didnt have any problems at all, even went home and ate. My third dose I didnt make it home before I was sick. Fourth and fifth dose I was sick as it was being given to me....BUT never fear you can ask that they give you the good stuff and you wont remember a thing :) thankfully Ah yes..thats right it made everything taste bad.
- Radiotherapy Working / Worked
- It worked and I have one suggestion for everyone. No matter if your skins dry or not dont use lotions or ANYTHING to moisturize your skin (not even shower Gel) Just bar soap through the whole process and you will have no skin issues. Im still having gotta go NOW bowel issues due to the radiation and my hips hurt..cant even cross my legs or sit indian style anymore (not sure if thats a effect of the chemo or radiation)
- Neupogen Working / Worked
- was fairly easy ask that its room temp and that they give you the shot soooo very slowly...for some reason its painful if given fast or if its cold they should know this. Just burns more than a TB shot but its tolerable.
