I was diagnosed with ADHD a few months ago and now know that was the reason I struggled as a child in school. Even though I made good grades most of the time it was hard for me to concentrate and stay focused-homework that took most kids 30 min to do it took me several hrs to do. I never thought I would enjoy or want to read and now I finally do!
Treatments
- Adderall Working / Worked
- It was working great but now it's not working real well. I may be having a side effect from it. It feels like small pieces of something are on the back of my tongue and I keep trying to get it off but nothing is there. She has decreased my dosage from 20 to 10mg for 10 days to see if it stops.
Close Bipolar Disorder
At age 16 bipolar reared it's ugly head due to my dad being diagnosed with cancer and from that point on my life changed for the bad. Only 4 years ago I found out what my problem was at age 35. My life and my loved ones lives were like living in hell. I have been on 16 medicines and having bad reactions to them all. Last December I finally asked the Lord for help and He has helped me or should I say He has healed me.
Treatments
- Abilify Not Working
- caused my heart to race constantly and my pulse and blood pressure were in dangerous categories
- Depakote Not Working
- my hair was coming out as if I were on chemo
- Lithium Not Working
- my blood levels kept rising even though my medicine dosage was going down
- Trileptal Not Working
- my lips stayed numb
- Wellbutrin Not Working
- this one just didn't work for me
Open Shopping Addiction
I was diagnosed 4 years ago with being bipolar and one of the things I would do when I was manic was shop. After several years of this it became an addiction. Whenever I was feeling an emotional up or down that was my outlet. It has hurt my family several times financially as well as emotionally. As much as I know it hurts them and I try to stop there is another part of me that knows how great that feeling is and I go on and do it. I need help! I am praying for help.
