  Hey...Glad to see you are here too. RE: hormone testing. Please have them do a complete ANDROGEN and HORMONE TEST...we all have both..andit can be either. Mine was my Estrogen level was 3x normal and DHEA level was too low.... Rick

  thank you soooomuch for the support. It means alot to me. Ive been diagnosed for almost eleven years now and its so tough for me. I think diabetes and teenagers is one terrrible combination.   thank you for your support. My daughter is doing very well. I, on the other hand, am a bit of a wreck about sending her back to school. She has never experienced a true low before, so my biggest concern is that a significant low could creep up on her before she knows how to recognize what is happening. Also, at 7 years old, she can't really be trusted to take her focus off of whatever fun she is having in order to take inventory of her body awareness, ya know! THis is a kid who will insist that she doesn't have to go to the bathroom until its an emergency because she doesn't want to stop what she is involved in... and trusting the school staff... well... thats tough, especially considering some of the stories I have heard regarding their track record... anyhow... thanks for taking the time to reach out. I appreciate it!
