    • About Me

I am a 31 yr old woman that is suffering from this disease. It occupies much of my time. I am trying to help raise 3 teenagers. Their mother passed away 5 years ago. I am tired of being sick and I am hoping I can find someone that knows my pain.

I know how you feel. To me, it is like there is a fire burning in my gut that does not stop. It is a constant pain. Because it is constant, we get no relief from it unless we use very powerful pain medicines. I see in your profile that you are prescribed Demerol. I am not quite up to something that strong but I think I know how you feel. My heart goes out to you. My question pertains to your doctor. Are your pain meds not effective enough? He/she should be listening to what you tell him as pain should not be ruling your life. Of course it is easy for me to say that as I have a GI Doc who believes I am in pain and truly wants to make sure I can still function. I went to psychiatrist so that he could potentially help me with dealing with chronic pain. I posted about my bad experience but the reason I went to the psychiatrist still stands in that chronic pain and depression go hand in hand. I am in pain as I type this email but I don't want to be on so much pain meds that I can't even think, ya know? Anyway, if my pain is around a 4 or less, then I think I can live with it. I kind of got off track but I understand where you are coming from and I feel for you! I have been there and done that. Maybe you should make an appointment to talk with your doctor about depression? Sincerely, HealthySquid
