My sister is the root of my strength and inspires me to better myself. And most importantly, I have a very strong faith in God and his plans for my life.

Close Hodgkin's Lymphoma
Type: Lymphocytic PredominanceI've had Hodgkins for the last 6 years of my barely adult life. I did the initial abvd treatment with a month of radiation, a year later a bone marrow transplant, and then 2 clinical trial drugs at MD Anderson Cancer Hospital in Houston. They worked for a while but eventually after 2 years of trying I had to move back to Colorado to undergo another bone marrow transplant with my sister as my donor. So that is where I stand now, done with that transplant and crossing my fingers
Treatments
- ABVD Somewhat Helpful
- a fairly mild chemo.. but invasive and stressful none the less.
- Chemotherapy Somewhat Helpful
- Gemcitabine Working / Worked
- Very intense chemo. Made me very sick for the duration of my treatment.

I had my first bone marrow transplant 3 years ago and have just recently completed my second allogeneic transplant.

Well I'm not exactly a Teen anymore, but I joined this group because I have been a cancer patient since I was 16, so I can definetly relate to a lot of the issues in this group.
