      Hi my name's Jessica/18yrs old and new to this group.I have had mild cp since I was 18months old and have had epilepsy since I was 6 yrs old.My favorite things to do are swim, ride my bike, fish, draw/paint/poetry, play board games, and read.Im a very, very shy person when it comes to meeting people but, when i once know them my true colors come out.

      WAS DIAGNOSED AT AGE13"ORIGINAL DIAGNOSIS"But WAS MISSDIAGNOSED ORIGINALLY I HAVE HAD IT MOST OF MY CHILDHOOD. I HAVE ABSCENT,MYCLONIC,AND COMPLEX PARTIAL.ACCORDING TO MY NEURO.

      Treatments

      Depakote Somewhat Helpful
      I was put on Depkene,Depkote,then Depkote ER afther my"REAL"diagnosis at 13 it did help some what/I wasn't having gran-mal's at least.But,I was still falling (although not that frequent)as before.The only bad effect was the side effects of tiredness(feeling you got ran over by a truck),and weight gain to the point it was impacting my health.
      Diastat Considering
      My nuro that diagnosed me with epilepsy at age 13.He gave my parents incase of emerencies.
      Lamictal Working / Worked
      Has workered wonders for me I only get 1-4 seizures a moth compared to before.AND NO FALLING WHAT SO EVER!!!! no side effects (its one of the medications if anybody wanted recomendations on what one to choose/I would definitly choose lamictal)Except(supposedly you can get a deadly rash but,herd from my nuro thats in very rare cases). :]
      Topamax Not Working
      Didn't work well at all!!! Made me have seizures all the time everyday constantly(falling all over again(back to my old self)/new symptoms;jerking,jumping(like if a shock went through your body,blackouts,weird smells&tastes,plus weird feeling like you know theres definitly something wrong with you or you but where you are sitting or standing it looks fine.or have a bad instinct(like being in a dream)/including the horrific side effects.That impacted relationships with my friends&education. :(

      Hi Im new!Im 18 yrs old and my names Jessica.I have had cp since I was around 9-10m old not 18m my dad messed up when he told me.Anyway..I Was diagnosed with spastisity in both legs so bad I could not walk normal.When I could walk to take a step my leg would get stiff then relax,stiff on my other leg then relax...so on with this type of pattern.When I was a baby my parents tried all therapys early- intervention,PT,OT,ST,and Sped classes.Now u would not know I have cp since its very,very mild.

      Hi everyone im new to this group because,my cousin has autism he has had since he was a 3-4yrs old.I know he goes to a pshycoligist(aggresion/and behavior),he has had early intervention,has ot in school,and my aunt(by marriage) wont let him eat alot of surgery stuff.I want to join this group to support and learn more about it.

      Hi im Jessica/18yrs old and have had GERD(acid reflex)since I was a baby.I was put on Reglan,which helped me to digest food and liquids.Then when I grew older they put me on omprazole(proilsec).Which works.Its better than having surgery!(a last option)

      Prilosec Considering
      It works!Verse before I use to get the feeling of chunkyness in my mouth(like throwing up/i know TMI)and had a hoarse voice/juncky cough all the time.But,now no cough!
      Reglan Working / Worked
      It worked very well when I was smaller

    • Open Hypothyroidism

      Well..I came hear to meet some new friends who also may have congental panhypotuitaryism otherwords another form of hypothyroidism.

      Treatments

      Synthroid Working / Worked
      Have been taking it since I was a baby.Its a replacement hormone since I dont produce any hormones.
