About Me
I'm a recovering addict with Hep C and was on the "combo" for a while. At shot 33 they stopped me due to the mental side effects getting SO bad. I was a total mess physically also, so don't get that mixed up lol. I was undie at week 8 or 12, I forget which. I got another VL done after I was taken off and it is still negative so I'm really keeping my fingers crossed. I've been through the TX just recently and although I am done I still come on here to help others and because I met some wonderful people on here. Any questions about anything, just ask.

My name is Justin, and I'm a 28 yr. old recovering heroin addict. I have had Hep C since I was 17, and I am finally about to get treated! I'm very scared because of all the things I am hearing about treatment, but I will do my best to be strong.

Close Heroin Addiction & Recovery
Recovering heroin addict, many many rough years of hell. Now on methadone and living a perfectly normal life. Anything you would like to know, please just ask. I'm sure my story isn't too much different than yours.
Treatments
- Narcotics Anonymous (NA) Working / Worked
- It works if you work it, plain and simple.
- Suboxone Working / Worked
- It CAN work, but for me it was just a way to not be sick if I couldn't get dope.
Open Depression
Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionMothers side of family has several severe mental issues, some of which I was lucky enough to acquire myself. I am also a recovering heroin addict and currently undergoing treatment for Hep C.

- Celexa Somewhat Helpful
- I seem a little better on this
- Lexapro Somewhat Helpful
- Same as Celexa
- Paxil Not Working
- Not on it now, it didn't work for me. Bad sexual side effects too.
- Positive Thinking Working / Worked
- How can it hurt?
- Prozac Somewhat Helpful
- Also had sexual side effects, but it did seem to work a little.
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- Therapy can't hurt either!
- Seroquel Working / Worked
- This stuff will knock out a Horse
- Support from Friends & Family Working / Worked
