    • About Me

I'm fifty years young and the mother of 4 grown children. Needless to say I was more than surprised when I was misdiagnosed with diverticulitis last September. Ovarian cancer and chemo was the last thing I saw coming down the road. I am 2 days away from my last chemo and think I have faired pretty well. I haven't found any support groups in my area and I am so grateful for this website!

I was diagnosed in October 2008 after actively watching the only ovary I had left. I was worried about a cyst that appeared 2 years after my partial hysterectomy. I have finished 5 chemo therapy treatments and will have my last on MONDAY 2-23-09.

      Treatments

      Carboplatin Too Soon to Tell
Very difficult to toloerate - much fatigue and problems with anemia
      Chemotherapy Somewhat Helpful
So far my CA125 has drastically been reduced.
