About Me
I was misdiagnosed with peripheral neuropathy in 2003, and have been treated for that until Nov. of 2008, when I was re-diagnosed with MS. Never did have neuropathy. I had solumedrol in Dec. and had a not so good reaction to it. It drove up my blood pressure up very high, and I felt bad as the week wore on. It did take care of all my symptoms though. However they have all come back. I've been on Copaxone since Jan.

Interests
My pets and my garden. I was widowed in 2003, and I guess I'm still trying to re-identify myself...especially with MS. I love books, but have to admit that I have not set aside the time to read much in the last 10 or so years. I'm trying to do that now.

Close Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
Type: Relapsing-remitting MSDiagnosed with MS in Nov., 2008. Before that I was treated for peripheral neuropathy since 2003. Not a good reaction to solumedrol in Dec. On copaxone since Jan.
Treatments
- Baclofen Not Working
- Prescribed when I was being treated for neuropathy...didn't work for very long
- Copaxone Working / Worked
- Not at all sure what I'm supposed to be feeling; what it's supposed to do for me.
- Neurontin Not Working
- Prescribed when I was being treated for neuropathy...didn't work for very long
- Provigil Working / Worked
- Taking for the fatigue. Seems to be working. And it doesn't string me out or hype me up.
- Solumedrol Somewhat Helpful
- For the first time in 5 years I was pain free! However, it made me sick and drove my bp sky high.
Close Down Syndrome
My sister is Down Syndrome. She's 46 now, I'm 59. She's in a group home, but I'm her only family in the area.
Open Pet Bereavement
I'm crying at reading all these stories of beautiful pets and loving relationships. I lost my husband in June of 2003. We had a dog and a cat (Sassy and Pooper, respectively). I was devastated. About a month later Stella showed up under my deck. She was about 5 weeks old with a giant voice. She had a gash in her neck and was full of maggots. I took her to the vets that night and had her fixed up. She was so unique. She was definitely my Angel. And she stayed with me for two years.
Open Shingles
I was just dx with Shingles.
