About Me
Hoppet means "Hope" in Swedish... I am a preschool teacher in Sweden. I teach kids from 3 to 6 yrs of age. I have 4 grown kids of my own..I lost my oldest child, Susan to liver disease when she was 11 yrs old. She would be 38 yrs old now. My youngest is19 yrs. And he�s studying in the US at the moment. I miss him alot! I also have 4 grandkids..so yes, my life is quite busy. I have had knee problems over the years..but have been able to cope on my own. This time, the pain was just unbearable for about a week..and then I went to my doctor. From the x-rays, she says that I have the beginnings of arthritis. And now I would like to find out how to proceed..get better and if possible, and avoid what I went thru. So that�s why I am checking in here..and who knows..maybe I can be of some help, too. You never know, do you? :)

Thanks again friend, for your thoughtfulness. Yes, the holidays are definitely a time of mixed emotions. I feel like I am in limbo- not totally into being here, yet cannot be back home either!! Yes, it will be tough and you're right about my daughter making it better. Thank god for little angels! Will write more later when have more time. HUGS for making me feel better!

Thanks friend for the chocolate! When is there not a good time to send/eat chocolate!! I'm doing okay and feeling more settled in here as time goes on. But the holidays are approaching which brings back thoughts of my mom being gone two yrs this December and not having my sister to share them with is going to make it even harder... - Voltaren Working / Worked
- Working ok..the meds I mean. I am worried about my stomach as I also have IBS/diaherrea problems. But I am taking something like Losec to protect my stomach. It´s working so far. It will be a week on thursday (feb 19).
- Heat Working / Worked
- helps quite alot..makes my knee joint more flexible and eases the pain..I also use it for my vericose veins..toeach the tension in my legs after a looong day at work with the kids at my preschool.
- Physical Exercise Working / Worked
- Just starting think about it..very confused..want to do my yoga.. but not sure how much I should do..and what other excercies are helpful.. am in the beginning of learning what to do..
Close Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
I have IBS..with diaherrea. When it is really troubling me, it is a big problem as I work with children..which means outings, etc..and not always being near toilets.
