Well, here it goes! I am helping my friends son take care of her mom, while she is out of state getting cancer treatments. Her son would be of …
Hey there,
thank you for your message, how i wish if you want the surgery that you could qualify. yes there is not doubt that i am blessed and thank the lord often, i would love to say every day but i'm only human. - i dont know how to add friends here but if i did i would love to add you
My dear Gail, that is what friends are for, support and compassion and practical assistance where possible. No, I believe that you will not be at your own personal best until you get this situation resolved. And, as I said, it truly is not doing her any favors. If it means she has to move to a group home that delegates duties, then that would be good for her. I know that you love her, it isn't like you are throwing her away, but you must look at your side of this issue, and you are at the point of your life where you deserve some peace and comfort. You vent to me all you want, Hon,..it goes both ways, you know! God Bless you! Love, Judy
Oh Hon, I agree with you! Your daughter has to find a way to make her own life. The reality is that Mom won't be here forever, and you would be doing her no favors by taking care of all her needs now, when she is able to fend for herself, in some other sort of circumstance. If I were in your situation, I would contact the human services or social workers dept of your local county and have them advise you on what your options are. I can see by what you wrote that it is getting to be too much for you. Don't get me wrong, I know how much you love her,...but there is such a thing as "tough love," too! Not easy for a mother, to be sure, but you deserve some peace in your life as well, because the more stress you have,...the more pain it causes. That much I know for sure! Talk to a Pastor, or Social worker to get her the help she needs and put it on the line, that you have your own medical problems and are unable to support her as well. I am praying for a good resolution to this for you! Love, Judy
Gail, I was awestruck at your story of how you came to be in AZ. Where was your daughter when she came to live with you? It seems as though another provision would need to be made for her care when you (God forbid) are no longer here? I so hope that you are able to get at least a small apt with a real kitchen. I would never have guessed that you were doing without so much. Have you contaated any social service agencies for assistance? In WI there are always situations where housing assistance is available to those in need. I am praying for something nicer for the both of you,..you soo deserve that! God Bless your heart! Love, Judy
Oh, I am so sorry for your little one, lost way too soon, I am sure she is one of God's very special angels watching over you and now has her Daddy, too! I know what heartache it is, and it doesn't matter what age they were, that is your child, be it months old, or 37 years, it is all the same! Very tight hugs to you, my friend! God bless! Love, Judy
I have had chronic constant pain in my lower back for umpteen years. I went to a doctor in CA who told me I have DDD and there was one. I now live in AZ and go to a several doctors here and the one who gives me the shots for it in my lower back tells me by my MRI report that I have 3 of them not just 1 of them. I said no wonder I'm in constant pain. I find it hard to enjoy my walks because the doctor says it also affects my left hip. But I do get out there to walk. I swim for exercise to.
I have chronic lower back pain from Degenerative Disc Disease. I was told by my Dr. that I have 3 of them in my lower back. I have tried the shots for the lower back but they only last a few months. Does anybody have any suggestions for this pain? Pain pills heating pads and ice packs do nothing for it. And my Tramadol makes me sleep all day and I only take 1/3 of a 50mg tablet. So if you can help thanks a lot!
