the status sector of daily strength is kind of like a "tweet" on twitter. its on easy way to go through the friends section on the right of the home page, and see what everyone is doing or if anyone needs help with anything. the journals are similar but more detailed. i used to just list food i ate because i need to diet and then i learned how it worked here and now i journal in a more complete way. its good here. people are generally very nice. the open boards are too harsh for me. lol. i used to be horrified at how people talk to each other on those. i hardly ever go on over there because of it. i haven't tried twitter yet, but i'm not on line enough to know about all of that much. i know a lot of people who have had trouble with facebook, which was a big surprise. i guess all of the sites have troubles of some sort.

you are fabulous! you have soooo much information. i wish you would journal, even if its just to say sun is shining and had breakfast today, like on twitter, so there would be a way to know you. or support groups to tell your story (though personally, i like the informal groups, with no counsellor, better as well).
Hug
Hi Dory -- just sending you a cyber hug and hoping you have a good weekend!
Shout Out
Saw you online, so thought I'ld say Hi...hope you are having a great day...
Hug
Hi DoryM...I was just reading your discussion on happy or not..and wanted to send along a hug... When I was in high school...I had a period of hanging with people my a-parents did not approve of whatsoever...sneaking out at night, etc. etc....not doing anything bad, just running around with friends! One night they came to my room and asked me if I would be happier going to live with my b-family.... I had never met b-family for one thing!!...I know you understand how much this hurt me. I didn't end up getting kicked out...but just this much of a rejection had a huge impact on me. I have forgiven them...but never forgot they were willing to let me go because I angered them too too much....It weakened the bond that for me was rock-solid...and probably triggered more of my abandonment issues...first from the b-mother, then from the a-parents. You are a very strong person, and should be proud of the happiness you have made for yourself and your family IN SPITE of your experiences growing up in the home you did, in spite of what we deal with as adoptees. WTG!! Thanks for being here and sharing your inspiring story with others....

Close Dizziness & Vertigo
Have suffered from BPPV off and on for five years. Am currently having a bad bout of it.
Treatments
- Dramamine Somewhat Helpful
- Epley Maneuver Working / Worked
- It worked when I had it done years ago. ENT made me sleep sitting up, put me in a neck brace and told me to not look down for 48 hours. Have avoid this treatment this time because I now have two small children and it would be impossible to not look down for 2 days.
