It is a very long story look up my postings you will see, but in a nut shell i have had 3 LP shunt revision in less than a year I developed a spinal tear so have low pressure headaches for 2mth then developed Charai sydrome where the brain sags into the spinal column was in hospitat 2/1- 2/9/10 they has to revise surgery 2 times in hospital then they had to crack head open take bone out so brain has room to swell if needed. They put a valve on my shunt but I will be gettting a cisternal pertineal shunt if this doesnt work out. And lastly might have to get tummy sugery cause fluid is building up in one area causung pain we will see later this week. Glad to hear you are ok and hope that things contine that way...
hope you are well..

No I didn't forget. Been having a rough time. Going to hospital in 4 hrs for shunt #3. Thing just alittle painful now. How are you doing? Will try 2 do better about keeping in touch, but must take more meds and lay down for a couple hrs.
I have been diagnosed with IIH since last October!!..my headaches started long ago,but i always thought of different causes..since then i made 3 lumbar punctures which really relieved my symptoms..i'm also seeing an eye doctor as my vision worsened due to papillodema..last time i saw my doctor,he recommended a shunt??!!..i'm scared and terrified..the surgery isn't easy..my life is full of action as i'm a wife,a mother of 3 and i also work as a hospital pharmacist..so..what to do??
