I am a nurse and have struggled with severe depresson in the past.I have had interstitial cystitis for two years and am almost back to normal now after the proper dose of Elmiron and Neurontin. My depression is lifted now that I found out I had severe hypothyroidism and am being treated. I am the proud gramma of six; the last one being born in June. I claim Christ as my Savior and lean on Him.

Close Interstitial Cystitis (IC)
I am a 56 year old female and was diagnosed with intersitital cystitis six mos. ago. I had much improvement after nine weeks of bladder instillations, but have regressed some since the treatments stopped.

- Neurontin Working / Worked
- much relief soon as i started taking it
- Pyridium Working / Worked
- couldn't live without it
- Ultram Working / Worked
- don't have to use too often; effective for the pain when nothing else helps
- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Working / Worked
- i really avoid nitrates, caffeine, and red sauces
- Xanax Working / Worked
- use when i absolutely have to have some sleep--Xanax not Xanas
- Zoloft Working / Worked
- have to have it; spiral down otherwise
Close Depression
Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionI have a long history of depression that was related to events, but now my life is great and I still spiral down if I go off my zoloft. Any suggestions?

Open Crohn's Disease & Ulcerative Colitis
I am joining this community because my daughter and I have been through her Crohn's disease and she is in remission now and mabe we can help others somewhat through our experiences. She is on no medication at this time, but did have a bowel resection when she was 19 and she is 31 now. She has no colostomy.
