Happy Belated Birthday!
Thank you for the friend invite. I am doing fabulous. I had a follow up visit with the EP who did my ablation at Univ of Penn in March and he put me on a 30 day monitor to make sure I was not having any "silent" a-fib. He called me today to tell me the monitor results were great and that I can come off the coumadin. I am just so happy! I am going to celebrate all weekend long!
I was just diagnosed with short episodes of paroxysmal Afib yesterday. I am a 55-yr.-old woman, and in otherwise good health, except overweight. I'm looking for discussions about medications, triggers, procedures, etc. My cardiologist put me on aspirin and Diltiazem 120 mg., but I'm afraid to take Diltiazem because of side effects. Anyone out there have experience with it? Last year, Toprol made me feel like a zombie.
I have an 18-year-old son with recurrent MRSA infections. We are desperate to find treatment for him.
