Close Fibromyalgia
I've had fibro symptoms for about 24 yrs. Was diagnosed about 10 yrs. ago. I've tried acupuncture, massage, various herbs & vitamins, chiropractic & osteopathic medicine, physical therapy, & even a "yeast free" diet without any real last benefit. I take several prescribed meds. from my GP with moderate success.
Treatments
- 5-HTP Not Working
- No visible benefit.
- Acupressure Not Working
- Not enough benefit for me to stick with after several months.
- Acupuncture Somewhat Helpful
- Not enough benefit for me to stick with after several months.
- Adderall Working / Worked
- Helps me stay alert & focused. Definite benefit.
- Guaifenesin Somewhat Helpful
- Actually has helped with my allergy-induced asthma symptoms more than fibro.
- Heat Somewhat Helpful
- More of a temporary distraction than a real lasting benefit.
- TENS Somewhat Helpful
- Not enough of a benefit for me to stick with after several months.
- Ultram Working / Worked
- Has been a real benefit for me as a pain reliever for many years.
- Vitamin B12 Not Working
- Didn't see any improvement.

Hello all. My name is Sue. I'm a 48 yr. old married, stay-at-home mother of ten children (ages 5-29 yrs.).Have had fibro. symptoms for about 24 yrs Was diagnosed with fibro. about 10 yrs. ago. I've tried acupuncture, physical therapy, chiropractic & osteopathic medicine, various herbs & vitamins, & even a "yeast free" diet without having any lasting benefit. I'm taking several prescribed meds. from my GP which have been moderately beneficial. I also have allergy-induced asthma.

- Heat Somewhat Helpful
- More of a temporary distraction that anything else.
- Hydrocodone Working / Worked
- It worked, though I don't take it at this time.
- Physical Therapy Somewhat Helpful
- Not doing PT at this time
- TENS Somewhat Helpful
- Not using TENS at this time.
- Ultram Working / Worked
- Zoloft Working / Worked
- Trazodone Working / Worked
- For sleep.
Open Asthma
Type: Adult AsthmaI have allergy-induced asthma. I'm allergic to several trees, weeds, grasses, and dust. Diagnosed about 5 yrs. ago by GP. Now seeing an allergist & receiving immunotherapy.
