      I was in high school in 1965 and caught the bus at 7:00am so I have also always seen the clip after it happened. The only time I was up to watch Carson was when Tiny Tim married Miss Vicky. One of my college friends had a TV so a bunch of us crammed into her room to watch.

      I am so glad someone else remembers the Ed Ames thing on Johnny Carson. My mom loved Ed Ames when he sang with his brothers. When Daniel Boone was on TV she watched to see Ed Ames while by brother and I loved Fess Parker. It wasn't long before I was also watching to see Ed Ames. Have many of his records and love watching him on YouTube. At 82 he still has a wonderful voice, beautiful longish hair and a charming personality.
