I live in Tyler Texas. I have been married for almost 3 years. No children, but a million neices and nephews. I have worked in Healthcare Administration for years and have decided to go back to college. I decided to join Daily Strength to know I'm not alone when it comes to some of my problems. I had gastric bypass 11.26.08 and I'm loving it more and more everyday. I'm also struggling with anxiety and insomnia but am hoping losing weight and feeling better about myself and being healthier will help everything all around. My husband and I also would like to have children and I'm hoping my weight loss and new life style will help that a little later on in life.

I have 3 cats that I call my children. I'm an animal lover of anykind. I love music...it may be my favorite thing in life. I also enjoy hanging out or visiting with friends and traveling whenever time permits.

I'm new to Daily Strength but it looks like a great site! When I had Gastric Bypass 11.26.08 I weighed 320lbs....I am happily 43lbs lighter …
Thanks for adding me as a friend!!!
Great job on the weight loss to date!!!
I had gastric bypass surgery 11-26-08. Had a rough recovery but am finally starting to feel alive again and I'm looking for support and suggestions to help with the process. It has been 9 weeks and I have lost 43lbs. My goal is to lose another 100 lbs. My original goal was to lose 120-150lbs. Any advice or suggestions or words of encouragement would all be appreciated. I wish everyone the best of luck!
I very recently starting having panic attacks. I was diagnosed with anxiety about 2 years ago and all of a sudden within the last 6 months I would think I was having a heart attack. Even taken to the hospital once by ambulance. The worst feeling in the world. I'm now trying to control is with breathing exercises and alprazolam (Xanax). I've lost weight after gastric bypass and I think that has helped also...but things are getting better. They are fewer and further in between.
I've been battling insomnia for about 15 years. I've tried therapy. Lots of meds. It scares me because I take a large amount of OTC sleeping pills and RX...and of corse year after year I need more and more to help.
