I thought about redoing my 'about me' but I think I'll leave it to remind me of what things were like at that moment.

My daughter was born June 18th, 2009.  She does not have DS. I thought I would worry for the remainder of my pregnancy after learning of the possibility but I didn't.  Not once.  I also thought I was going to name her Amber Elizabeth but I could not get her dad or my 10 year old to get on board with that name.  Naming her, I must say, was the hardest choice ever. We named her Emily Elizabeth-like in Clifford. I call her Bessie. Bessie was my Grandmother's name.  Did you know Bessie is a nickname for Elizabeth. Not many people know that. 

Delivery was a breeze with the aid of an epidural.  Now at 2 weeks, my Bessie is growing so fast.  I am taking an online math class to get ready for General Education in the fall before entering into a surgical tech program.  I have a wonderful family consisting of my boyfriend, Joe, the most wonderful man in the world, and the most supportive 10 year old "little mother" daughter. I am happier than I ever have been in my whole life.
