      I suspect I've had Addison's my whole life, but wasn't diagnosed until 2002. I know I'm blessed to have a disease that is treatable, but it is my personal hell.

      Treatments

      Cortisol Somewhat Helpful
      Only seems to somewhat help, but makes me gain weight and increases my appetite more than somewhat

      I had no trouble with my weight until I was diagnosed with Addison's disease. The treatment is a steroid that makes me gain weight and increases my appetite. I ballooned from 95 pounds to 195lbs. I lost this weight by eating a diet of only 800 calories a day. I knew this was unhealthy, but it worked. Until my doctor had me try a new drug for my Addison's. I went from 150-180lbs in a three week period. I'm now back up to 190lbs and need to change my ways for good.
