No, you're right -- I wish there was a way to keep those on top. I just go through those two post every now and then and delete all the "bumps". I do think those are two good ones for new people, anyway. Feel free to bump them anytime they drop off the first page. Man, I wish I did have a "job story". Man, it's a rough time to be looking for a job. I apply to new ones EVERY day. I use indeed.com - it's a great site that pulls all the jobs from a ton of sites to one site. I think I need to revamp my resume or something - I'm just not getting that many calls! I can always go the temp route, I was just putting that off for now. It's been pretty good to me in the past, as far as finding a permanent position. Still paddling like mad to keep my head above water on unemployment. I'm glad you're staying active in the group -- we have so many members ya never hear from. People come and go on here, I guess. I've made some great friends here. Have yet to meet anyone yet, but there's a few people in the group who aren't that far from me. Maybe some day. Keep in touch and I hope you're weekend is starting out great! I used to live for my weekends -- now I hardly know what day it is! lol

It's kind of hard to describe symptoms, first gigantic itcy hives, then break out into a bumpy rash, like really swollen bumpy. If it goes to far without treatment my air passage swells and i can't breathe, then my heart rate peaks and then goes way down, almost died memorial weekend of it. I will check out the book, enjoyed the other one you recommended. Thanks and hang in there.

    • Close Alcoholism

My husband and I are both alcoholics. I was going to quit when I turned 30... ha ha... I'm 35 and still drinking. We have two beautiful girls aged 4 and 3. I have to QUIT!

      Treatments

      12 Step Program Not Working
      AA Meetings Not Working
      Naltrexone Working / Worked
This is a great anti-craving medicine. It took a couple of days to get used to it (took ativan for sleep those first couple days). Haven't needed to take it everyday, and still great results.
      Reading Working / Worked
Reading everything I can get my hands on regarding recovery (including AA material and non-AA material.) The best help so far has been Allen Carr's "The Easy Way to Stop Drinking". I guess I really like his way of thinking about things!
    • Close Celiac Disease

I think I am allergic to gluten. Trying to find the time to take the gluten-free test!

    • Open Psoriasis
Affected Areas: Psoriasis of the Skin

I've had psoriasis since I was about 8 - but it was never very bad. The past three years it has gotten much worse. I am going to try a gluten-free diet to see if that helps.

      Treatments

      Betamethasone (Topical) Not Working
      Coal Tar Somewhat Helpful
      Dovonex Somewhat Helpful
    • Open Parenting Preschoolers (3-5)

My husband and I have two beautiful, but sassy, girls, aged 3 and 4. They are the best of friends, but also know how to fight pretty well too!

      Treatments

      Child Time-out Somewhat Helpful
      Education (School) Working / Worked
      Positive Reinforcement Somewhat Helpful
    • Open Video Game Addiction

Video Gaming is going to destroy my household, along with other nasty addictions. I want a normal life! My husband is heavily addicted to Tribal Wars (just the latest of gaming he's gotten into.)
