I had some silly exciting moments today. I took the bra extender off this morning because I noticed some space in the cups. I can now actually wear my bra without the extender! I had such a hard time with bras preop. I was like a 50B and nothing ever fit, so I mainly wore tight undershirts. Now my 38C fits really nice and I actually feel like I have real boobs. LOL.
I figured since I took my three kids to the zoo in June that they and I could survive a walk to the park. It's exactly one mile to the park from my house. They have seen mom go on walks a lot in the last few months and always ask to go with me, and they were so excited to be going with me this time. They did really great! We stopped and had lunch, and then continued on to the park and played with the other kids awhile. Then we watched the big boys at the skate park and my boys loved that and wanted to do it too. But being 5 & 6, I think it'll be awhile before they can join in. Then we walked home. We caught grasshoppers and picked flowers and saw fruit trees. It was a really neat walk. You don't realize whats going on, on the side of the road until you are up close and right there. It was a good day and the kids couldn't stop talking about our walk and couldn't wait to tell dad.
Also tonight as I got out of the shower, I was able to wrap a bath towel around myself and actually tuck it in and walk around! Usually I would just throw the towel around my shoulders because I was way to big to wrap it around me.
So a day full of small moments of excitement, reinforcing how wonderful having this surgery has made my life. Things are more accessible to me now, just the mundane everyday things, but wow, that is what life is all about.
