A friend of mine suggested writing some poetry....

I don't think I ever mentioned that I already do :)

So here are the latest from my notebook:

"Wonderland"

Quizzical yet focused

Happy with an edge of tears

She dances in the kitchen

Alone or with friends

Paint me lilac fields

Call it love

And move on just like the rest of us

You can

Because you have to

And you are the hand that holds back

Wake up, daisy morning

Kiss the sunbeams before they disappear

To the clouds, grey and distant

I wait for the cleansing rain

To wash it all away

Breathe life

Breathe love

And you can too be free

haiku:

Dance little flower

Don't stop until you're all through

And don't dream, just do

and now a couple of untitled pieces :)

I never want you to hear me cry

So I keep you away

Hidden

Yet only a sigh away

I don't know what it is to miss you

Because you're always there

Holding my hand

Even though you're streets away

I know deep inside

You're there

And here

I can always feel your warmth

I can always picture your smile

Even if only in my mind

You are the only light that shines through

Sometimes, in the darkness

You are the only wish that comes true

Made upon a lonely eyelash

You speak

I listen

And as the breeze brushes against my cheek

I feel you in the wind whispers

Saying, "I'm coming soon"

Yet you are there

Holding me tight

In the dead of night

When visions of sorrow

Invade my precious dreams

And you say, "It's ok"

And it is....

It always is....
