I am currently a senior at The George Washington University, majoring in Interior Design. I also plan to pursue an elementary education degree afterwards. Originally I am from Massachusetts. I am 1 of 5 children, 4th in line from the top. I love my family and my siblings are my best friends. I like to hang out with my friends, meet new people, and have a fun time. I find fun in anything from dancing, to socializing, to crosswords and puzzles. I am very laid-back and easy-going. I like all types of music, but favor rock more.

I hope that you will soon find some relief from your pain. I have had FMS for around 9 years now but have not had to take meds . I have a high tolerance for pain and try to do it without meds. I hope t hat yours is a mild case. You are so young to be given such a crummy diagnosis. I was 52. Had a car accident when I was 40 and I truly think that is what did it. You take care. Good luck with your schooling. I would definitely get that teacher's credential. The time off is great - money is good and you are in a very rewarding field. My daughter, 34, is a 7th grade world history teacher. She has been teaching for ten years and makes $90,000 a year. She loves it. Take care - SUE

Close Fibromyalgia
I am 21 years old and was diagnosed with fibromyalgia on Tuesday, January 27, 2009. I had been walking blind since september, when I woke one day and couldn't walk or stand up. Although I now have a name to my condition, I am quite overwhelmed and am having trouble coping with all of this.
