my kyle Mood
Saturday, January 31, 2009 | A Rambling story

my kyle

this is for every parent out there who has a child with williams syndrome.

we haven't been to the gendist yet but i already know. i've known for a long time but i didn't want to think that way. my baby kyle was my first twin born august 22 2007. he has blue baby syndrome or tetralogy of fallot. a congental heart defect. we were so concerned with his heart we didn't want to make things worse. kyle is so friendly.  its kind of creepy to me that he has no fear. people just fall in love with him. its so hard not too though. his big smile his hugs. even when hes sick hes still smiling. since he learned to smile he hasn't stopped. you could wake him up at 4am he'd have a huge smile for u. hes crazy hes all over the place. hes so tiny. he is almost 19months but the size of an average 6-8 month old. hes right on the growth charts for williams since birth. he was 6 weeks early as was his twin tanner

kyle 3lbs 12oz 14inches

tanner 4lbs 9oz 18 inches

see the difference? its been that way ever since. tanner is normal size kyle is not. tanner is normal in every way but kyle lags behind deveplopmentally.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and all of your boys. It is so scary when you have a heart baby, and then to discover that there are more problems... It is just more than you think you can handle. I think its kind of like living with chd...you take one thing at a time.
When you deal with sick kids professionally, their smiles are the one thing that you notice. It seems like the ones that have the least to smile about have the biggest smiles! I believe that this is a blessing from God and also the result of all the love and caring that their parents give them.
Hang in there and keep me updated. Diane
