Close Healthy Relationships

Married interracially. I am black, from NYC, and a Catholic/Christian. My husband is a white southern Christian from Mississippi. We met online while he was in Iraq the first time. We've been married for 18 months but he has been deployed for most of it. This is his second and last deployment. We've been apart longer than we've been together. He has had bad anger problems and the relationship has been mostly tumultuous.

He was mostly reluctant to accept the help and advice.

This usually helps in the end, but not without anger, ugliness, and nastiness mostly on his end.

I keep a journal and it helps me to put things down on paper.
